Dear members of the Czech Society of Cardiology, dear Cardiology Congress participants,

By decision of the Committee of the Czech Society of Cardiology of June 23, 2020, the form of this year's Congress of Cardiology has been changed from full-time to VIRTUAL.

The main reason is the still-in-force restrictions on the organisation of mass events, and it is uncertain whether these restrictions will cease by the beginning of September.

Therefore, the Congress will take place virtually: it will be broadcast from September 13 to September 25 from the Prague studio; the access to online broadcasting will be granted to the registered. It will be broadcast every day from 9.00 to 12.00 and then from 14.00 to 18.00.

The event will be accredited by the Czech Medical Chamber based on the time spent at the live broadcast (max. 60 credits per 10 days of broadcast).

The registration procedure will remain the same as when you register for the congress in its physical form, i.e. through the online system. However, the registration fees have been reduced: CSC members will pay 200 Czk (members till the age of 30  100 Czk)and non-members 1500 Czk. Those who have already paid the fee and will want to participate in the virtual form of the congress will be refunded the difference; those who have already paid the fee and will not be interested, will be refunded the full fee.

The programme should be available by July 10, at the latest. It will consist of invited blocks of associations/work groups and scientific societies, as well as company symposia. The original free presentations (including nurse sections, technical sections and poster sections) will not be included in the virtual form of the congress and only the ENTERED ABSTRACTS of these presentations will beavailable at the Congress website.

We hope that you will remain loyal, will find the program prepared interesting and that you will decide to follow the Congress in this, hopefully exceptional, form.

Parking

• Expoparking – a roofed parking garage opposite Holiday Inn Hotel, price for the complete congress time – 420 Czk. Exchange the parking ticket for a permanent ticket in the congress registration. This will allow you to leave and enter the garage as many times as you need during the entire congress. In the case of a shorter parking it is more convenient to pay the hourly rate (15 Czk/hour) directly in the parking lot.
• The other areas outside the exhibition grounds are in the property of Brno Council and the city is entitled to a fee of 150 Czk a day.

• For the entire congress – 650 Czk (allows you to drive your car inside the exhibition grounds during the congress; your car needs to be parked outside the grounds at night)

In the registration (2nd floor, Hall E), it is possible to use wifi, network KARDIO2020, password "cksregistrace", in the other congress areas there is the network: KARDIO2020, password “kongreskardio”

The ceremonial speech and the award ceremony are followed by a banquet in hall A1, all the registered can enter free of charge - only with a name tag, tickets need not be ordered.

Czech Society of Cardiology Gala Evening

Tuesday, September 15, 8 p.m., hall A2

Ticket price 500 Czk – tickets to be ordered online in the congress menu

Entrance is permitted on the basis of a presented ticket. If you register for a ticket online at CSC web pages, collect it on September 15, 12 o’clock at latest; then they will be sold to others. The number of tickets ordered can be modified or cancelled until the online registration finishes (April 25) without any extra fees.

You can pay for the tickets together with the registration fee or separately, however, always state you registration number = the variable symbol.

Send your payments for the tickets to the Gala Evening by August 30; later payments will be collected on the spot, without any changes in the amount.

You can order the ticket at your congress web page in the online registration system.

The tickets to the Gala Evening shall be paid for by the participants themselves; it is not included in the registration fee and sponsor contributions from companies will not be used to cover the costs associated with the gala evening.

Jiří Toman Cardio Run/Cardio Walking

The traditional run will take place on Tuesday, September 15, starting at 6.45 a.m. in the Exhibition area. The start will be placed outside hall A1.

The registration for the run (electronic) will be available at this webpage during February.
