Active Participation

ENTERING ABSTRACTS

The online entering of abstracts has been open since November 15, 2012 and it is the only way to register for active participation. Before entering an abstract, you have to log in the CSC online system and register for the congress. Then you can enter an abstract (Individual registration for active participation). When entering abstracts, you can choose an oral presentation or a poster. Further, you can choose a nurse presentation and the preference to be entered in the Young Cardiologists Section or The Best of Czech Cardiology block.

All abstracts accepted before January 10, 2013, when the acceptance process finishes, will be subjected to review proceedings. Afterwards, a general professional program will be outlined and everybody will be sent an email confirmation on acceptance/rejection before mid-March 2013. If you do not get this confirmation, please contact the organizational secretariat.

You can enter the abstract at your congress page (after logging in the online registration system).

PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

The professional program will again consist of invited blocks of work groups of CSC, invited expert companies, blocks of free presentations (oral, posters), nurse presentations and CSC symposia.

Further, the program will include company symposia, blocks of Young Cardiologists and The Best of Czech Cardiology.

Young Cardiologists Section has replaced the Young Cardiologists Day and is designed for doctors younger than 35. Three best papers will be obtain a financial award.

The Best of Czech Cardiology
This year’s congress follows up the previous years by section The Best of Czech Cardiology. Within the section, the best papers on clinical and experimental research published in journals with impact factor in 2012 will be presented. It is possible to register for the section within the online registration for the congress. The conditions are:

• the paper was published in a journal with impact factor >2.0 during the past year (2012)
• the paper originated at a Czech workplace
• the first author is a CSC member
• the paper is not a review nor an editorial, it is an original research paper presenting the results of author’s/authors’ own research
• the paper did not originate abroad (e.g. during a stay of a Czech doctor abroad)

The assessment committee will choose the three best papers and their authors will be announced and awarded during the Evening Gala of CSC.

The printed final program will be included in congress materials obtained at the spot; its online form will be available at CSC web pages at the end of March 2013.
